On March 4, 1980, the victim's body was found by his brother in his NE Heights house.  Richard Jerger was last seen alive on 02/29/80.  Detectives believe that the killer or killers were known by the victim and after they entered the house, an argument developed.  Jerger was then stabbed several times and left to die on the living room floor.  It is also believed that the killer or killers then exited by way of the front door and locked it on their way out.
